With changes occurring in the world recently, nearly all of us are passing more time in our homes. It can feel hard to keep up with a good lifestyle when your gym in Maple Grove is closed.

You might have become the teacher, personal chef, and parent in your home. Perhaps you are working from home now and striving to establish some structure during each day.

In these unpredictable times, it can be appealing to stay on the couch, checking the news and Netflix, and likely falling out of a day-to-day workout routine. We may be stuck at home, but we can nevertheless make ways to continue healthy habits! Here are our top useful activities you can integrate into your changing everyday routine to stay active, boost your immune system, and maintain momentum toward realizing your wellness intentions.

Integrate Home Workouts

One positive aspect of spending more time at home is the added space in your everyday schedule. Go through your day. Where can you make a few minutes for an at-home workout? A great exercise session doesn’t need to go on forever to be effective. As long as your heart rate escalates, you will receive fat and calorie-burning benefits! Include Your Kids in Your Workout

The pools may not be available, but there are still a variety of ways to create fun projects your kiddos will like. Because staying active isn’t just for mom and dad! Here are a few of our top fun (and free!) ways the entire family can stay healthy as a group:

  • Take a nice, long walk
  • Take a frisbee outside in the warm sun (hello Vitamin D!)
  • Take a break for a bike ride or roller skate trip
  • Form a floral arrangement with your homegrown flowers
